People Are Wondering If Mark Zuckerberg Is Actually A Robot ??
People Are Wondering If Mark Zuckerberg Is Actually A Robot ??Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg faced US congress yesterday following the Cambridge Analytica data scandal.
While there, Zuckerberg answered questions from senators (who reportedly have the average age of 62) on a number of topics, including privacy, 'data-mining', the company's regulations and even how it makes money.
While he defended his company's practices, over on Twitter, users were too busy pondering if Zuckerberg was a robot:
Is that really Mark Zuckerberg or is it a hologram or robot of some AI technology pretending to be a human?? The software for this robot keeps answering every question beginning every sentence with "Senator..." and has no human engagement of the passion behind the questions.
Critics picked up on his strange facial expressions that seemed very mechanical and unhumanlike.
To be fair, we've all been there when we've had to explain the wireless printer or the internet router to our parents and got less than excited responses.
So while he was getting a grilling by the senators, people did take a minute to recognise that he really was stuck in an awkward situation.
“Mr. Zuckerberg, a magazine i recently opened came with a floppy disk offering me 30 free hours of something called America On-Line. Is that the same as Facebook?”
Although it was probably wasn't one of Zuckerberg's best days; it doesn't seem to have done his business much harm. By the time of the first break in yesterday's proceedings, Facebook's share price had gone up five percent.
